-
Learning how to listen in ways that gives others space to think and maintains the focus on the other person and their issues or concerns.
-
Exploring the art of humble enquiry and servant leadership.
-
Developing skills, techniques and confidence that lead to fruitful interactions with others.
-
Opportunities to practice new skills, approaches and tools in a safe space.
How the Pathway unfolds...
This is a 6-session online learning experience (via zoom), with supporting online content within a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that you can access during and beyond the life of the course.
We will be drawing on lessons from scripture, inviting us to consider the questions Jesus asked, and supporting us in developing self-awareness and practical skills to hold space within conversations that can stretch us and the other person beyond our comfort zone.
Together, we will learn some practical techniques to deepen our interpersonal skills, to build connections and to make the most of opportunities to practice empowering conversations with others in a safe and supportive space - like learning to listen more deeply to what God is saying, to what the other person is saying and to what we are telling ourselves,
By building on the two pillars of coaching: self-awareness and personal responsibility, the course provides opportunities to reflect on your interactions with others, learn some crucial skills to engage at a deeper level, and apply spiritual insights to your own life and the life of the person you are in conversation with.
In each session, we consider specific scriptures, invite the Holy Spirit to guide our learning, to shine a light on those areas that are in need of attention and practice new skills.
Together, we will answer the call to "...equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up" (Eph 4:12).

Testimonials
Here's what some of our founder members have to say:
The first ever pilot course for Living Well ran in Davidson's Mains Parish Church in September 2024 with 16 participants.

Ken
"The Pathway course helps you to empower others to know God better and to live life well.
As a bonus, as you journey through the sessions, you also get to improve your self-awareness and find God is closer to you than you ever imagined."

Lai
I loved the attitude of being humble in listening to God, listening to the person talking, and listening to oneself.
It changes one’s approach to a conversation dramatically and adds a very different dimension to any conversation.

Steven
The Living Well Christian coaching course really helped me understand my approach to engaging people in positive conversations for Christ. Practical tools and techniques were shared and the participants were allowed to put these into practice. It was God focussed, which in itself is no bad thing, as too often we try and steer conversations in our own strength! Very worthwhile.

Vanda
"God continues to give me opportunities to listen to and encourage people in their work or personal situations. As I use what I have learned from the Living Well course, I sense that what I say and the ways I offer support are much more effective."
